Our dynamic and friendly team at Harveys Newcastle are committed to providing effective solutions for our customers. Current management represents the second generation of the Niass family, with Noel Niass originally establishing Harvey Newcastle with Toby Harvey in 1970.
The majority of our staff have worked with us for many years, displaying great loyalty and dedication to our company and its customers.
Key Positions
Peter Niass – General Manager
Peter has 34 years continuous service at Harveys Newcastle with the previous 20 years as General Manager. His skill base covers all facets of the Mechanical Services industry as well as the light to medium fabrication sector. Peter is directly responsible for compiling tenders for the General Fabrication section. His hands-on style of management and personable demeanour keeps him in touch with all areas of operation at Harveys Newcastle.

Gary Niass – Contracts Manager
Gary has been an integral part of the Harveys Newcastle team for over 20 years. During Gary’s 38 year career he has gained extensive experience with all facets of the mechanical services sector. He is well respected in the industry as a competent and honest operator, able to deliver to both client expectations and specifications without compromise. In his role as Contracts Manager he is charged with the responsibility of responding to tenders for Mechanical Services, and ensuring contracts are successfully administered.

Peter Cox – Site Manager
Peter has worked his way from air-conditioning systems installer to Mechanical Co-ordinator, during his 15 years of service with our company. He is responsible for ensuring on-site conformance with specification and technical requirements, to ensure projects’ goals are achieved. His expertise in site safety and trades coordination, ensures our job sites run smoothly in terms of both safety and efficiency.
Fabrication
Dale Woolaston – Workshop Foreman
Dale, with over 37 years’ experience in the heavy to medium fabrication sector, is in charge of the planning and supervision of all workshop production activities. Being a qualified Welding Supervisor and Quality Assurance Inspector, Dale possesses the skills and ability to ensure delivery of a consistent end product, which meets both client specification and expectation. This is in keeping with Harvey Newcastle value for money guarantee.
